When I first visited Surrey I felt completely at home. The campus felt safe and secure, and I could really see myself living here and making it my home
My class was quite small which meant that we all got to know each other incredibly well and during our seminars we could have animated and dynamic discussions. Our opinions were always respected, considered and sometimes challenged, which I think was important to my academic development.
At Surrey my confidence and self-esteem grew due to the support and encouragement of my tutor. Through continuous hard work I was able to achieve a first in my dissertation. I now work in television production as a Production Co-ordinator. I had never considered a career in television before university, but a placement opportunity came up and I was drawn to it. Surrey gave me a push in the right direction and I’ve never looked back.
