When I was looking at where to study my undergraduate course, Surrey was the only university that provided a mix of sociology, culture and media in one degree. I had no doubts about continuing my education at Surrey for my master’s degree in International Tourism Management, as Surrey is known as one of the top universities in the world for hospitality and tourism.
The quality of the lectures at Surrey were excellent. I was taught by very knowledgeable and well-respected professors. Guest lectures were particularly valuable as you were given the opportunity to learn about topics from external professors and lecturers, which helped to keep the course fresh and intriguing.
I am currently employed as the Senior Specialist in External Affairs at the World Travel & Tourism Council. The industry is ever-changing and constantly facing challenges, which keeps me interested at all times! My time at Surrey definitely expanded my horizons and provided opportunities for me to explore new things and appreciate different cultures from around the world.
