I decided to study at Surrey because it was the only university that offered the course I wanted to do. It was also clear that the University of Surrey was considered to be the gold standard by the people I wanted to work with.
I work as GP but I’m also a nutritionist, founding member and director of the British Society of Lifestyle and Medicine, SCOPE certified member and regional lead of the Association for the Study of Obesity, tutor in obesity at the University of South Wales, and more. I wouldn’t be doing most of the things that I do now without my masters degree from Surrey.
My advice to students hoping to work in my profession would be to make the most of their time at Surrey. Enjoy every moment, because it will be over far too quickly.
