COURSE:

MEng Aerospace Engineering, Class of 2016

The University of Surrey had a really nice feel to it when I visited on an open day. I remember talking to an academic about the course and it sounded really exciting. I remember being very impressed by the EnFlo Lab and the prospect of carrying out experiments in the wind tunnel.

During my course I really enjoyed the design module in my first year. We got hands-on experience in the workshop, which has really helped me in my career. I also really enjoyed the project we did in our third year, where we were tasked with designing a state-of-the-art aircraft.

I am currently in my second year of the graduate scheme at Atkins. I really enjoy applying the technical knowledge I learned at university in my job. On multiple occasions I have brought in my old lecture notes to help me solve a difficult substantiation problem, often guiding more experienced engineers on new methods.
