I chose to study at Surrey because of the amazing academics who were leaders in areas of psychological research. The campus was beautiful and located in such an accessible place. The course provided me with skills that translated into the workplace, and the practical knowledge I needed to pursue my career.
At Surrey I became more focused and determined to reach my goals. I now work as an assistant psychologist in a group home for harmful sexual behaviour. I am also training to be a forensic psychologist. I enjoy how different every day is and how I’m learning things I never thought I’d need to know.
My advice to future students would be to work hard and don’t leave your work till the last minute. I promise if you treat university a bit like a job and work nine to five, Monday to Friday, you will get good results and feel less pressure.
