I chose to study at the University of Surrey because of the enthusiasm of the lecturers and the variety of modules on offer, as well as the opportunity to work at the Ivy Arts Centre.
One of the best things about my course was my classmates. We had great fun and formed tight friendship groups. At Surrey I grew up, grew in confidence, and developed both academically and professionally.
Through my course I gained a wide skill set. I was able to manage entire theatre productions and find work in local theatres. This directly supported me in finding my first graduate job. My career in theatre was a direct result of the skills and knowledge I gained at Surrey. After moving to support the performing arts curriculum at a sixth form college I decided to train as a teacher.
