I chose the University of Surrey because I fell in love with the campus and the facilities. I don’t know if it was the gorgeous building, the welcoming faces or the helpful staff, but I knew immediately I had to go here. When I got the phone call to say I’d gotten in, I cried with happiness.
During my time at Surrey I became more mature and more aware. I saw qualities in other people I aspired to have more of and actively bettered myself. When you work in theatre you work in such close proximity to other people it’s important to be the best, most cooperative, focused and energised version of you that you can be.
My course prepared and shaped me for the industry. It got me to a place where I was ready to step into the industry on my own. I’m now being paid to do what I love most in life.
