Not many universities offer a medical engineering course, and definitely not one as extensive as the one offered at Surrey. When I attended an open day I was thrilled by the facilities available and the topics covered on the course.
The best thing about my course was that I gained so much experience in using different pieces of software. Being able to use software like MATLAB and ANSYS has helped me immensely during my PhD. The experience I gained from group projects taught me how to work effectively with other people and has set me up for working with others during my PhD.
I am still at the University of Surrey, but I am now working on my PhD. I enjoy coding immensely and I have been working with MATLAB throughout my time here. The skills I gained in my undergraduate degree have been applied throughout my PhD.
