I chose the University of Surrey because I loved the state-of-the-art facilities and the fact that the course was research-based. Psychology is such an open discussion, but to have access to research that could help back up my theories was really appealing.
Surrey prepared me for working life after university. I now work as a training manager for an education recruitment company. This allows me to provide training and support to new starters. I help them develop so that they can provide our clients and candidates with the best service. Seeing the people I train succeed in their roles is so fulfilling.
My time at Surrey massively influenced my career. My course had the option to do a placement year, which I did. My placement year opened me up to a network of contacts that led me to my position today.
