I chose to study at Surrey because it had an excellent track record for biomedical engineering, combined with interesting module content. The best things about my course were the great standard of teaching, the excellent support and the flexibility.
During my time at Surrey I figured out what I wanted to do as a career and gained the drive to work hard to achieve this. I am now a data analyst at Manchester University in the Faculty of Biomedicine and Health. I love the fact that I get to write code and be part of a team that is making a difference to the lives of patients.
I was at Surrey when I found out about the bioinformatics stream of the clinical scientist training programme in the NHS. As a result of my course I got a job as a data analyst, giving me the experience required to apply for the NHS training programme.
