The University of Surrey was one of only two universities where I could study environmental psychology. I chose Surrey because a particular professor, whose research I had read many times, was working there.
The best things about my course were the curriculum, the teachers and the diversity of my classmates. I changed as a person at Surrey because I realised that I didn’t need to blame myself if my research progress was slow. Now I believe that I will always reach my goal as long as I put in the effort and do not stop.
I am now working at a construction consulting company in Japan. Surrey strongly influenced my career as it taught me how humans’ actions throughout history have affected the world. My advice to future students would be to believe in your teachers and your classmates, but most importantly believe in yourself
