I chose Surrey because the course offered a good balance of academic and practical learning. The course tutors and lecturers were all very supportive, and extremely knowledge about the subjects they covered.
During my time at Surrey I learned a lot about my role, increased my confidence in my nursing skills, and gained a lot more knowledge about the public health aspect of school nursing. I now work as a registered nurse in a school nursing team. I am about to start a new role as a special school nurse supporting children with disabilities. I really enjoy supporting families who need it and working with children with additional needs.
My time at Surrey gave me skills that I use every day in my practice. I would say that my course pushed me to do better and undoubtedly put me above other candidates with the same amount of experience or skills.
