The best thing about my course at Surrey was the willingness of the lecturers to interact with each student on a personal level. They were constantly providing support, feedback and encouragement.
Going to university abroad was the first time I had left home for a prolonged period of time. I have changed in so many ways since then, but most notably I have gained confidence in my abilities and been able to acknowledge my weaknesses.
I temporarily worked in recruitment and HR, but I’m currently undertaking an MRes degree in Translational Cancer Medicine. Through my future career, I want to make significant contributions to cancer research. My time at Surrey has certainly been a crucial stepping stone into the field of oncology.
