I was first attracted to the University of Surrey because it offered the opportunity to study Spanish from an ‘ab initio’ level. The best thing about my course were the placements. I was able to make the most of opportunities I would never have had if I hadn’t gone to university.
I changed as a person during my time at Surrey because I gained confidence in myself and my abilities. I’m now working as an executive assistant. I enjoy how varied my work is and working with lots of different people.
My advice to students at Surrey would be to concentrate on developing social skills as well as academic skills. Some of my happiest memories from my time at Surrey were of social outings at the Students’ Union.
