I chose to study at the University of Surrey because of the research expertise of the staff, in particular of my chosen PhD supervisor. My supervisor, Professor Rosalind Malcom, was amazing and I could not have had a better PhD experience.
My PhD at Surrey was great as it provided me with the access to all the materials I needed, gave me an opportunity to teach students and has staff of a very high calibre. During my time at Surrey I became more confident in networking, presenting my research, teaching, and my ability to produce high-quality research outputs.
Completing a PhD confirmed my desire to pursue a career in academia. Surrey provided me with a great support system for facilitating research and gave me opportunities to teach. I am now a lecturer in law at Coventry University, which I love as it has allowed me to continue my research and teaching.
