What first attracted me to the University of Surrey was its excellent reputation and proximity to home. The best things about my course were the wide variety of psychological approaches we studied and the brilliant lecturers.
I changed as a person at Surrey because, as a mature student and mother, I started to rediscover my own thirst for knowledge. I am now studying for my PhD here at Surrey. I find synthesising ideas and discovering novel areas to research the most enjoyable aspect of my work.
Studying for my masters degree at Surrey is what opened the door to my PhD. I hope it will lead to further research work in the future. My advice to future students would be to accept all support offered by your lecturers and supervisors. My happiest memory of Surrey was receiving my distinction result after all my hard work.
