My course was outstanding for a number of reasons. It was constantly evolving and adapting to current trends in the world of theatre. The facilities were state-of-the-art. The modules had a great balance of theory and practice. We were encouraged to do as much extracurricular work as possible, as well as start our own theatre companies and put on shows.
When I first came to Surrey my ambition was to be an actor. Surrey opened me to a world of possibilities within the arts and exposed me to things that formed the foundations of my future.
Thanks to my course’s focus on both academia and practical application, I developed a keen eye for videography. This resulted in my doing my final year theatre project on AV design and its application for a live theatre event. I’m now the Head of Commercial Video at Eagle Radio.
