I decided to study at the University of Surrey because it offered a really comprehensive course with a wide range of modules.
The best thing about my course was that the lecturers were so passionate about their subject. During my time at university I matured as a person, made lifelong friends and grew to love my subject even more.
I am currently a mission systems engineer at Airbus Defence and Space, designing next generation spacecraft. I love being able to get involved with designing rovers and robotic arms, and performing research and development tasks. I have also worked on a space harpoon that was launched to the International Space Station. Surrey showed me how great the space industry is and provided me with the skills and knowledge I needed.
